How to Create a Killer Contact page

The contact page of a website is really important and must be as functional and accessible as possible. It is the first real contact that people will have with your business after visiting your website and users have to find some basic contact information about your company and the different options that they have to contact you. Here are some important points that you have to consider before uploading your contact page on your website:

  • First: Description
  • This page must include some information about your business and its physical location:
  • Name of your company
  • Address
  • Zip Code
  • Residential Area
  • Country
  • Phone Number
  • E-mail
  • In addition, if possible, a map or something that provides the location of your office and some sort of visual documentation of this location (You can use Google Maps – link it to the application so that people can calculate their own route to your office)
  • Second: Social Networking Services
  • You have provide the links to your Twitter and Facebook Accounts to make people see that you’re accessible. If you are promoting yourself and your clients consist of other professionals, you should also include a link to your Linkedin profile. If visitors see that you already have a good relationship with your clients and that they can easily talk and exchange with you, this will reassure them and encourage them to choose your company instead of another! Written or video testimonials are also a plus! Seals, certifications and other qualifications or specialties are key at this stage and will improve your conversion rate.
  • Third: Contact form
  • The contact form must comprise at least two sections: e-mail in order to know who’s contacting you and message, but it is better to add other things like the visitor’s name, and an entry to protect you from spammy message by requiring a validation code such as a captcha or skill testing question. Getting the visitors’ phone number would general be a plus, but you want to limit the amount of required fields as much as possible. Try to keep it simple and concise. Each field that you add will harm your conversion rate. Try to include a link to your privacy policy and this will help too.

If you have been undervaluing your contact page, take some time to build an attractive contact page that will convince people that they can count on you for their requirements, that you know what you’re doing and most importantly, your contact page should illustrate that you are genuinely concerned and interested in your visitors!
